Parables

In the words of Emily Dickinson - she says, "tell the truth but tell it slant". In many writings and stories, it is natural to explain your themes in a way that the audience can relate. Or, perhaps, to tell the story they may have heard many times before, with a different angle to get a better look at what the author is saying. That is what I will attempt in my blog, to get you the reader to think about things you may have never quite thought of yet. I will take you on a tour of different angles of my life to see the beauty in the ashes, the joy and the sorrow, in hopes that you too, may see the Light of the world even in dark places. ↝ Stories from the journey of my life ↜ written by: Sue Leerhoff ↝  follow me on my Facebook page ↜ - Brick by Brick P.S. >Following the ways of our Savior, he always told parables to make a point so that others would understand him. A walk through the fire

"But now, this is what the Lord says-                                                                                                 He who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel;  'FEAR NOT, for I have redeemed you;  I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.                                         When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.  For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."  - Isaiah 43:1-3   ...

Peter Pan

I don't know about any of you - but sometimes life feels like a movie scene.  The one where you are grabbing for the swinging ladder and as you finally grasp the rungs... struggling to climb on... all of them give way and you go tumbling into space......   So this blog is not from Tinkerbell's point of view,  Not just a sprinkle of fairy dust and Happy Thoughts.  It's more like from a blind beggar wanting to show another blind beggar where to find bread.    ↝ Stories from the journey of my life  ↜ written by: Sue Leerhoff   ↝ follow me on my Facebook page ↜ - Brick by Brick

Happy New Year!

Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things... Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music.                -Psalm 98:1&4     As long as I am alive, there is still hope.   ↝ Stories from the journey of my life ↜ written by: Sue Leerhoff ↝  follow me on my Facebook page ↜ - Brick by Brick

Proverbs 4:9

She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor. - Proverbs 4:9 Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. - Proverbs 4:7 Writing these verses in 2012, and reading them in 2017......These words ring true even more than they ever have.  Life is not ever promised to be easy.  It may cost you much, but to be a wise apprentice you must listen to the Master.  I never knew where life would take me, and I never ever would choose the path I am on now, but here I am.  I hope that this blog can help someone else whose life has been turned upside down and ripped to pieces.
